The RUNNING MOVEMENT + ANALYSIS that Paul completes, are unlike most biomechanical assessments on the market. Other assessments tend to make observations and measurements of static strength and positions.
Paul's assessments focus not on analysing single static positions in isolation, but rather on how the whole body moves as a system and why. By understanding why the body moves in this way, Paul can find the underlying cause for the sub-optimal movement patterns. I can then create a plan to address these problems using movement-based solutions.
Paul prefers to complete these assessments in person however, he has completed many of these assessments virtually to great effect.
If you have a complex or recurrent injury that needs clarification and resolution, Paul can help.

INITIAL RUNNING MOVEMENT + ANALYSIS
You will discuss with Paul, your goals and aspirations in running, or your chosen sport, and your current situation. You will then complete a thorough running assessment and movement testing session which I will capture on video. This allows Paul to play it back to show you your technique, which will help you to understand the biomechanics of how you run. He will provide feedback on your technique and ways that you can start maximising the way you use your body. Together you will form a plan that gets you to where you want to be.

At the end you will go away with:
A view of how you currently run with a video
An understanding of the basics of running biomechanics
Specific exercises to help improve the efficiency of your running movement
A running program tailored for you and your goals.

I've never received any technical information on my running, so this session was valuable. I've read lots on training programs, but sadly knew very little on the biomechanics of running. the video analysis was excellent and quite revealing.
The session was light enough to be enjoyable. Paul sets a light, enjoyable atmosphere. I would recommend this session to others, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Paul's running session was a really entertaining introduction to running training for me. He was able to give me some simple instructions and demonstrations for a variety of running drills to help improve my technique. The session took place in the park near my house which gave it a nice relaxed feel. The session was a good length, we managed to cover a lot of different drills and we finished just as I was beginning to tire.
Overall I really enjoyed the session. Paul's relaxed nature immediately puts you at ease, he is very engaging and his passion for running really comes through! I would definitely recommend a coaching session for runners of all abilities.

I really got a lot out of the session and was surprised at how much I didn’t know about my running style and how I could improve it. During the session, Paul broke techniques down into chunks, which made it much easier to understand and translate into actual movements. The video analysis as part of the session was really valuable.
Another aspect that was very valuable was over the series of sessions you went back to, and reinforced, some of the theory from earlier sessions. This helped to embed the new technique.
Paul created a really nice/friendly atmosphere immediately i in the session. I would definitely recommend this to other runners.
